Overview
The spread of false information about our elections poses a serious threat to our democracy. Lies have the potential to divide Americans, discourage civic participation, justify policies that weaken our democracy, and even incite political violence.
Our work includes identifying false narratives about elections and democracy, analyzing efforts to erode trust in the rule of law, and supporting state and local officials as they work to inform the public. We help ensure people have access to fact-checked information about how our elections and system of checks and balances work.
