- Digital Consultant
Location: Remote
States United Democracy Center is seeking a full time, contract Digital Consultant to join its Digital team within the Communications department to assist in executing in-house paid digital programming, lead internal digital reporting and analytics; manage monthly newsletter sends; draft original content for paid, organic, and web platforms; and support social media monitoring needs.
- Director of Communications
Location: Remote
The Director of Communications assists the SVP of Communications to lead States United’s Communications Department, which includes staff and consultants focused on earned, paid, and digital media. This role reports to the SVP of Communications and works closely with the organization’s senior leadership across departments.
- General Counsel
Location: Remote
States United is hiring a General Counsel, a senior attorney, to oversee the organization’s internal legal matters. Reporting directly to and working closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO), the General Counsel will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s compliance with laws governing nonprofits, contracts, professional responsibility and ethics, state gift rules, state public records laws, lobbying and IRS rules, and 501(c)(3)/(c)(4) regulations.

States United Democracy Center is seeking an organized, diligent, and detail-oriented contract Research and Project Management attorney to be part of the team that manages a critical organizational project that includes legal research, project management, and quality assurance. This is a part-time, contract, temporary position.
- Legal Assistant
Location: Remote
States United Democracy Center is seeking a Legal Assistant to join its Legal team and provide high-level administrative and research support to the Legal team. The Legal Assistant is responsible for scheduling, preparing daily meetings and events, creating briefing materials, taking notes, drafting agendas, and making travel arrangements, among other administrative tasks.
- Research Associate (Polling & Public Opinion)
Location: Remote
The Research Associate (Polling & Public Opinion) supports the organization’s polling and public opinion research program under the direction of the Senior Researcher and reports to the Research Director. This role involves survey design, data analysis, and synthesis of polling findings for internal and external audiences.
- Research Intern (Summer 2026)
