MICHAEL J. POMANTE II

Before joining States United, Michael taught at higher education institutions including Northern Illinois University, Tulane University, and Beloit College. In 2018, he coauthored Cost of Voting in the American States, which measures the relative difficulty of voting in each state. He has a forthcoming coauthored book on the Cost of Voting Index, exploring why states adopt different types of election laws and their effects on democratic inclusion and representation.
